At the age of 19, she published her first debut single Here. It became a huge hit immediately that both critics and the fans were awed by it. It reached 19th place on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named it one of the best songs of the year. Her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was the first of five tracks which reached the top charts on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. It was different since a lot of people reacted to her interview in collaboration with Rap-Up regarding her struggles to learn to love and accept herself. Cara's music often contains positive thoughts about mental health and the importance of being self-love. Her music is an expression of her own struggles with insomnia and mental health. In an Reuters interview, she described her album as half-tumultuous and half well-crafted. Her growth was aided by therapy. She also encourages her fellow singers, if needed, to ask for help. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born July 11, 1996, to parents of Italian heritage. When she was 10 years old, her parents bought her a guitar, which was the beginning of her passion for music. She began covering her favorite songs when she was thirteen to show that world that she was a talented musician and the determination required to be an artist. One of her covers, Sweater Weather, was the one that got her attention. EP Entertainment gave her the opportunity to create and compose her own music.
