Even Rolling Stone named it as one of the top songs of the year. Her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five tracks which reached the top spots on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 in addition to Billboard Hot 100. In her interview with Rap-Up, many listeners spoke about Cara's self-love journey and her doubts. Cara is famous for including messages about mental health kindness and self-love into her music. Everything stems from her personal journey as she has struggled with mental health issues as well as insomnia. In a Reuters interview, she described her album as half tumultuous and half complete. The singer says that she discovered her development through therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. When she was 10 years old, her parents gifted her a guitar that became the beginning of her musical passion. She started covering her favourite songs at age 13, to prove to the world she had the skills and the determination required to be an artist. Sweater Weather is one of the covers that resulted in her being noticed at the time by EP Entertainment. This record label gave her the opportunity to create the songs she wrote herself.
