The debut single of hers was released in the year 2015. The track was highly praised by critics as well as the public. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the same year. In her Rap-Up Interview, many listeners spoke about Cara's struggle to find self-love as well as her doubts. Cara is known for incorporating messages about mental health love and self-love into her songs. All of Cara's music stems directly from her struggle with mental illness, insomnia and other health issues. Reuters reported that she called her album "half chaotic, but half done". The singer says that she experienced growth during therapy. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian artist since the year 1996. Her parents have Italian descent. Her parents gifted her with their first guitar at the age of 10. It was the beginning of her journey in music. At the age of thirteen, she began singing songs she loved on YouTube in order to show the public that she had talent and had the courage to go after a career as musician. Sweater Weather is one of those covers that led to her being discovered to be signed by EP Entertainment. This record label let her write the songs she wrote herself.
