At the age of 19, she released her debut single Here. It became a huge hit immediately with both critics as well as the fans were awed by the song. The song reached the top spot at 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone listed the song as one of the Top Songs in 2015. She released her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was the first of five tracks which reached the top spots on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. In her Rap-Up interview, many listeners spoke about Cara's struggle to find self-love as well as the doubts she faced. Cara has a reputation for her messages on mental health, kindness and self-love into her songs. The music she sings is reflective of her own struggles with mental illness and insomnia. Interview with Reuters the singer declared her album to be "half turbulent" as well as "half complete". Her growth was aided by therapy and advises people to seek help if necessary. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. In 2010, her parents bought her a new guitar, which she used to discover her love for music.
